Corporate Responsibility
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
The EnviroScience Corporate Responsibility Committee (CRC) is an employee-led initiative to give back to our community with our time, labor, and expertise, and, of course, financially by helping fund projects and activities of particular interest to our members and employees. We are proud members of the United Nations Global Compact and continue to grow our business following the 10 Principles.
The CRC is a voluntary group of staff who participate in and support our various causes and events. The EnviroScience Board of Directors recognizes the importance of community involvement and provides 98% of the seed money we use. Because of this support, nearly 40% of our staff participate in CRC events.
EnviroScience’s Corporate Responsibility Committee was awarded the 2014 Medical Mutual SHARE Award for Community Service. EnviroScience was one of thirteen companies in Northeast Ohio that was recognized for its outstanding initiatives to give back to its community.

2023 Corporate Responsibility Committee Efforts
The Corporate Responsibility Committee was in full swing in 2023 with a wonderful turnout during volunteer events and over $17,000 donated to local food banks, community engagement organizations, farmers markets, community sports, animal health advocacy groups, and environmental sponsorships. Below are just some of the organizations and events at which members of the CRC volunteered and to which funds were donated last year alone. In addition, the CRC hosted two successful office-wide potluck and cookoff events, raising $2,000 for Freedom House, which helps homeless veterans obtain permanent housing, and $2,900 for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, which equates to 11,600 meals for the community during our Annual Mike Trump Chili Cookoff in November.
