Regulatory Compliance Specialist – Stow, Ohio

EnviroScience is currently seeking a full time, highly knowledgeable and skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist with an emphasis on Clean Water Act rules and regulations, and NPDES Permitting. This individual must be versed in environmental permitting procedures including negotiations, calculations, data gathering, documentation and analysis.  Experience with procedures for deposition and court testimony, and negotiations with regulatory agencies is a plus. 

The ideal candidate will take an active role in the Compliance Services team.  The position will include a range of tasks but will emphasize a leadership position within a team of engineers and scientist.  The position will perform among other tasks, regulatory interpretation, meetings with clients and regulators, review of NPDES permits, and report generation.  The candidate will be responsible for assisting the team in keeping projects on schedule and on budget, project quality control, and taking a lead role in collaboration with clients.  The position may require limited travel and short-term overnight stays to meet with clients, attorneys and regulators.

Candidates may be asked to demonstrate skill proficiency during the interview process.  At least 2 interviews are anticipated for successful award of the position.

The ideal candidate would be a creative, environmentally focused individual having a multidisciplinary background containing a mixture of engineering, science, regulatory and writing skills.  The individual should be an autonomous, highly motivated individual that can communicate effectively, document work activities, solve problems and troubleshoot in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment.  A strong desire to improve the environment while working as a client-advocate should be at the core of the individual’s personality.  A creative, design-minded individual that can operate independently with clients and is focused on timely completion of deliverables is a must.  The right personality coupled with excellent communication skills with ES personnel and clients is a necessity.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering required and 5 years of post-Bachelor’s experience with applying federal and state environmental regulations.

  • Experience with negotiating permits and orders issued to clients by state and federal environmental regulatory agencies a plus.

Stormwater Engineer – Stow, Ohio

EnviroScience is seeking a skilled engineer with design experience in stormwater management systems.  The desired candidate must be a licensed professional engineer with strong writing skills. A candidate who also possesses knowledge in development of municipal and industrial Stormwater Management Plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans is a plus.  Primary duties will include stormwater modeling and design, plan development, proposal support, and assistance with project implementation.  Typical projects will include design of municipal and industrial stormwater management systems, and field inspection of project sites.  The candidate must have a strong skill set in AutoCAD Civil 3D.  The ideal candidate would be licensed in Ohio, but well-qualified candidates that can demonstrate the qualifications for an Ohio engineer license will be considered.     

The desired candidate will take an active role in the Compliance Assessment team.  The position will include a range of tasks but will emphasize a leadership position within a team of engineers and scientists.  Within this position, the candidate will perform site assessment, modeling, permitting, and report generation.  The candidate will be responsible for assisting the team in keeping projects on schedule and on budget, quality control and oversight of engineering design, and development of detailed plans for stormwater management systems in collaboration with the design team.  On an annual basis, work duties will be approximately 10% field and 90% office.  The position may require limited travel and short-term overnight stays to oversee implementation of project design and to meet with clients.

Candidates may be asked to demonstrate skill proficiency during the interview process.  At least two interviews are anticipated for successful award of the position.

  • Experience developing stormwater management plans and Erosion and Sediment Control Plans in the AutoCAD Civil 3D environment, GIS, and GPS experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in surface water hydrology and open-channel hydraulics
  • Experience with AutoCad Civil 3D 2012, HydroCAD, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel, along with various other civil engineering software programs
  • Experience with Ohio EPA and other state permitting requirements and procedures regarding stormwater management plans
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task regularly in a fast-paced environment with multiple changes; accepting responsibility for critical work products and meeting tight deadlines

Project Manager / Environmental Scientist – Richmond, Virginia

ES is currently seeking a full time, senior-level environmental scientist in our Richmond, VA office.  This position will include project management and project development, as well as regulatory coordination, technical report writing and permit preparation. Other tasks include performance or coordination and review of water resource assessments/delineations, rare/threatened/endangered species surveys, terrestrial surveys, water quality investigations, and other environmental consulting and restoration assignments.

Commercial Diving Superintendent/Business Development- Stow, Ohio

Description: We are seeking an experienced, ADCI and/or IMCA certified diver with a minimum of 10 years industry work history in the Northeastern United States to assist our growing commercial diving division in project acquisition and management.  The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory (supervisor certification) and communication skills, as well as an intimate knowledge of local bidding processes and potential clients.  Additionally, this candidate will be familiar with ADCI, OSHA CFR-29, Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1, and AWWA Potable Water diving standards.  The winning candidate will assist the existing ES-Diver team of supervisors, divers, and business developers to expand the company client base and capabilities.  These areas include but are not limited to underwater construction, inspection, power generation plant maintenance and support, salvage, and emergency spill response.  This position will provide flexible hours and ability to work from a remote location if applicable.  This position will require the ability to travel during the summer months as necessary, but extended deployments are not expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess knowledge of the local diving market in the Northeastern United States area, including Ohio and Pennsylvania (required).
  • Networking ability to attract long and short term contracts for various diving and underwater projects.
  • Prepare proposals and bids to technical specifications.
  • Complete dive operation plans and risk assessments, coordinate closely with clients and EnviroScience personnel, and delegate responsibilities for jobs.
