Invasive Vegetation Specialist – Stow, OH

ES seeks to add a full-time Invasive Vegetation Specialist to our growing natural resources practice area. This position will involve a full range of tasks including backpack spraying, ATV and ARGO boom spraying, hand wicking, chainsaw operation, maintaining state required application records, preparing summary reports for clients, assisting with proposals and costing, and various other invasive vegetation related duties. Invasive vegetation management occurs year-round, but the current position will assist other practice areas as needed. ES currently has an active invasive vegetation management clientele and would like to add an experienced biologist to lead initiatives both in and out of the office. Ohio Certified Applicator License preferred but not required for the position. This position will include some overnight and extended travel during the summer months and most tasks will require strenuous field work.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS/BA degree in biological sciences, environmental science or related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ohio Certified Applicators License preferred.
  • Strong plant identification skills: native and invasive species.
  • Project management, Client or people management skills a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of lifting greater than 50 lbs. preferred.

Wetland Delineator – Stow, OH

ES is currently seeking a full time, mid-level wetland delineator to support our growing natural resources division at the Stow Ohio office. This position involves wetland assessments and delineation field work, but may include terrestrial surveys, stream assessments, wetland functional assessments using state and federal protocols, water quality permitting, and project management.

Responsibilities: Conduct wetland assessments/delineations, stream assessments, terrestrial surveys, wetland functional assessments, plant identification, rare/threatened/endangered species habitat surveys, permit preparation, technical report writing.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum BS degree in the Biological Sciences, Environmental Science or related field.
  • 2+ years wetland delineation field experience.
  • Ability to delineate wetlands independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret resource mapping.
  • Experience with Midwest flora.
  • Ability to key out and identify plants using plant identification manuals.
  • Experience with soil classification.
  • Experience with Global Position Systems (GPS).
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations, the 1987 United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Manual and current Regional Supplements.

Additional Beneficial Skills:

Position Description

ES’s Nashville Office is seeking a full time, highly knowledgeable and skilled Environmental Compliance Scientist / Engineer with an emphasis on Environmental Site Assessments, Clean Water Act rules and regulations, and NPDES Permitting. This individual must be a proven leader and respected in the industry, versed in environmental permitting procedures including negotiations, calculations, data gathering, documentation analysis, and a proven track record of successfully negotiating with regulatory agencies is a plus. 

The ideal candidate will take an active role in the Compliance Services Practice Area.  The position will include a range of tasks but will emphasize a regional leadership position within a team of engineers and scientist.  The position requires some travel and short-term overnight stays to meet with clients. Position Description

EnviroScience (ES) is seeking a Professional Engineer with design and project management experience in water resource engineering and experience with Clean Water Act regulations.  A licensed professional engineer with strong writing skills is required, and a candidate with knowledge in development of municipal and industrial Stormwater Management Plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans is a plus.  Primary duties will include business development, system design, plan development, proposal support, and assistance with project implementation.  The candidate must have a strong skill set in AutoCAD Civil 3D and HEC-RAS modelling.  The ideal candidate would be licensed in Ohio, but well-qualified candidates that can demonstrate the qualifications for an Ohio engineer license will be considered.     

The ideal candidate will take a leadership role in the Compliance Services Engineering team.  The position will include a range of tasks but will emphasize a leadership position within a team of engineers and scientists.  The preferred candidate will have environmental/compliance experience with industrial, commercial, and municipal clients.  In addition to performing site assessments, modelling, permitting, and project reports, the candidate will be responsible for managing project delivery teams to keep projects on schedule and on budget; providing quality control and oversight of engineering design; and developing detail plans in collaboration with a design team.  On an annual basis, work duties will be approximately 10% field and 90% office.  The position may require limited travel and short-term overnight stays to oversee implementation of project design and to meet with clients.

The position will include participation in industry, business, and community organizations, business development, and strategic planning with an emphasis on growing engineering compliance services in Ohio and the eastern United States.

Stormwater Engineer – Stow, OH

EnviroScience is seeking a skilled engineer with design experience in stormwater management systems.  The desired candidate must be a licensed professional engineer with strong writing skills. A candidate who also possesses knowledge in development of municipal and industrial Stormwater Management Plans and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans is a plus.  Primary duties will include stormwater modeling and design, plan development, proposal support, and assistance with project implementation.  Typical projects will include design of municipal and industrial stormwater management systems, and field inspection of project sites.  The candidate must have a strong skill set in AutoCAD Civil 3D.  The ideal candidate would be licensed in Ohio, but well-qualified candidates that can demonstrate the qualifications for an Ohio engineer license will be considered.

Commercial Diving Superintendent/Business Development- Stow, OH

EnviroScience, Inc. has conducted a wide range of diving operations since 1998.  Over the years, these operations evolved into a division of the company called ES-Divers.  ES-Divers offers OSHA and ADCI surface supplied diving operations, including underwater inspection, underwater construction services, potable water diving, contaminated diving, as well as support for biological studies.  ES-Divers has a constant commitment to providing comprehensive solutions for all of our clients’ in water needs.

Description: We are seeking an experienced, ADCI and/or IMCA certified diver with a minimum of 10 years industry work history in the Northeastern United States to assist our growing commercial diving division in project acquisition and management.  The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory (supervisor certification) and communication skills, as well as an intimate knowledge of local bidding processes and potential clients.  Additionally, this candidate will be familiar with ADCI, OSHA CFR-29, Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1, and AWWA Potable Water diving standards.  The winning candidate will assist the existing ES-Diver team of supervisors, divers, and business developers to expand the company client base and capabilities.  These areas include but are not limited to underwater construction, inspection, power generation plant maintenance and support, salvage, and emergency spill response.  This position will provide flexible hours and ability to work from a remote location if applicable.  This position will require the ability to travel during the summer months as necessary, but extended deployments are not expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess knowledge of the local diving market in the Northeastern United States area, including Ohio and Pennsylvania (required).
