Green Infrastructure Services

Both the community and industry can benefit from “Green Infrastructure” installation. The MS4 General Permit requires communities to implement and enforce a Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) designed to greatly reduce the discharge of pollutants from small MS4s, to protect water quality, and to satisfy the appropriate water quality requirements of Ohio Revised Code 6111 and the Clean Water Act. Instead of continual storm sewer maintenance, Green Infrastructure provides long-term solutions for more affordable and sustainable stormwater management. Green Infrastructure such as bioretention cells and wetlands reduce and treat stormwater runoff for nutrients, and decreases flooding through the establishing functional floodplains. Permeable pavers reduce salt use, and Green Infrastructure also reduces the heat island effect, common in urban areas. Green Infrastructure can also be used by industry as a Best Management Practice Plan to address pollutants identified in benchmark sampling requirements. Communities as well as other regulatory agencies may in the future enact stormwater utility fees that are based on permeable surfaces. Green Infrastructure can reduce your permeable footprint and your stormwater discharge to save you money in utility fees.  Enviroscience can design and build Green Infrastructure in concert with our construction partners, RiverReach, saving you time and money.

Our Green Infrastructure assistance includes:

  • Design Best Management Practices (BMPs)
  • Environmental Permits
  • SWPPP Preparation
  • BMP Construction and Maintenance
