Congratulations to Environmental Inspector Israel Merkle for placing 3rd overall in the 2016 Akron Marathon out of 1,134 runners.
Israel also placed 83rd overall in the Boston Marathon this year, which placed him in the top 0.3% of all runners (there were 27,491 runners total). Israel was the fastest male from NE Ohio.
