About Talia Greenblatt: Natural Resources GIS Technician
Talia Greenblatt, MS, is a Natural Resources GIS Technician with EnviroScience, specializing in GIS mapping, spatial analysis, and remote sensing for environmental consulting and natural resource management.
Joining the EnviroScience team in April 2024, Talia brought expertise in geospatial data analysis, cartographic mapping, and habitat suitability assessments. Her favorite part of working at EnviroScience is using the knowledge from her fieldwork to create informed, high-quality data and maps.
Talia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Colgate University and a Master of Science in Conservation Medicine from Tufts University. Her background in wildlife conservation and GIS technology enables her to provide precise, data-driven mapping solutions for a range of ecological projects.
Expertise in GIS Mapping and Spatial Analysis
At EnviroScience, Talia utilizes Esri’s ArcGIS Suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Field Maps, to support environmental compliance, wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and ecological restoration projects. Her expertise extends to remote sensing, 3D spatial analysis, and data management, ensuring accurate geospatial data visualization and reporting. Talia’s key skills include:
- GIS analysis & cartographic mapping for wetland delineations, stormwater management, and species habitat assessments
- Remote sensing & geospatial modeling for environmental monitoring
- Field data collection & GPS integration using Survey123, Field Maps, and Collector
- Historical aerial imagery georeferencing for land use change analysis
- CAD-GIS data integration to enhance mapping accuracy in environmental planning
Environmental Consulting and Natural Resource GIS Applications
Before joining EnviroScience, Talia worked in wildlife conservation, contributing to projects focused on species monitoring, habitat mapping, and land management planning. She played a key role both in the field and office in surveying and subsequently mapping critical habitats, analyzing spatial patterns, and supporting conservation and regulatory compliance efforts.
Talia contributed to a wide range of GIS-driven environmental projects, such as assessing habitat suitability, evaluating impacts of environmental change on wildlife, and mapping species occurrence to inform management decisions.
At EnviroScience, Talia provides GIS support for a variety of environmental projects, including:
- Developing spatial data for environmental assessments and permitting
- Creating GIS-based maps for ecological resource management
- Analyzing land use changes to support restoration and conservation efforts
- Processing and visualizing geospatial data to inform environmental decision-making
Recognized for Excellence in Environmental GIS Services
In March 2025, Talia was named EnviroScience’s Employee of the Month, recognized for her commitment to client advocacy, precision in GIS analysis, and proactive problem-solving. One of her key strengths is identifying project plan discrepancies before fieldwork—preventing costly errors and improving project efficiency.
Her dedication to high-quality GIS solutions, environmental compliance, and teamwork makes her an invaluable asset to EnviroScience’s GIS services team.
Talia loves spending time outdoors hiking and foraging for mushrooms in her free time. She enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling to new places when not outdoors.
