Rhonda Mendel has been with EnviroScience since 2002 and has over 28 years of taxonomic experience with macroinvertebrates. She received an M.S. in Aquatic Entomology from the University of Maine at Orono, and a B.S. in Biology from Grove City College. Rhonda’s responsibilities at EnviroScience include the identification of freshwater macroinvertebrates and calculation of community indices according to state and federal standard protocols, as well as quality assurance of macroinvertebrate sampling conducted by the company. Additionally, Rhonda teaches taxonomic workshops for the identification of chironomid midges for use in water quality evaluations, and remains active in the environmental field by presenting research papers at regional and national meetings. In addition to her responsibilities with the macroinvertebrate laboratory, Rhonda also serves as EnviroScience’s Quality Assurance Officer. She is responsible for overseeing data quality control for EnviroScience and reviews both internal and external audits to ensure that the information generated by our company is of the highest quality.
