A valued member of the EnviroScience team since 2006, Jeff Niehaus is a field biologist with over twenty years of experience specializing in aquatic ecology and stream restoration. His expertise in fish biology, ecology, and habitat requirements is applied to stream and wetland design. He is an integral figure in the development and construction of EnviroScience’s stream and wetland restoration projects.

Jeff’s duties include stream characterization and geomorphology assessments, data analysis, design implementation, and construction oversight. He is a commercial Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) pilot who uses drone technology in mapping and terrain evaluations and large, agricultural drones for invasive vegetation management. He is also an experienced fisheries sampling specialist and a fish, ichthyoplankton, and plankton taxonomist. He has worked as a consultant on numerous fisheries management projects throughout the country, implementing sampling designs and techniques.
