Tiffany Moore serves as a Macroinvertebrate Taxonomist and has been a valued member of EnviroScience since joining in 2011. Tiffany specializes in aquatic macroinvertebrate sorting, subsampling, and identification to the lowest practical level, often to species. Additionally, she completes corresponding state-specific data analysis and metrics. Tiffany is also involved with in-house Quality Control and Quality Assurance, creating and helping to manage the macroinvertebrate reference collection with physical samples and photos.
Previously, Tiffany worked at the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, completing macroinvertebrate surveys and identifications, focusing on streams and rivers, including the Cuyahoga River.
Tiffany earned her Bachelor of Science with Honors, completing a double major in Environmental Biology and Water Resources (Biology) in 2002 from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. While at Heidelberg, she worked at the college’s Water Quality Lab, identifying macroinvertebrates from Northwestern Ohio and Lake Erie.
Tiffany holds Society of Freshwater Science certifications for North American Chironomidae; Eastern Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, and Trichoptera (EPT); Western Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, and Trichoptera (EPT); and Eastern General Arthropods. She also holds her Level 3 Qualified Data Collector status through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for Benthic Macroinvertebrate Identification.
Tiffany enjoys spending time with her three children as she homeschools them, walking and backpacking with her husband, and making sourdough bread.
