Stormwater Management

Our Stormwater Management Team

CESSWI Logo IIThe stormwater management team at EnviroScience is comprised of CESSWI-certified experts with professional backgrounds in engineering, biology, geology, GIS, and water quality science. Several of our team members are former employees of industry and regulatory agencies such as the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency—including a surface water department manager and an aquatic biologist.

The breadth of stormwater knowledge and experience at EnviroScience is unparalleled in the industry—particularly in the areas of green infrastructure, Phase II MS4 Stormwater support, Industrial Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) support, assessment and analysis, and reporting.

Our stormwater management team provides comprehensive services to solve almost any stormwater challenge. We specialize in helping industry and municipal clients interpret and meet regulations, implement cost-effective control measures, and develop stormwater management plans tailored to their unique environmental challenges.

WHY COMPANIES NEED A STORMWATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN

A Stormwater Discharge Permit is a requirement under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program, which addresses discharges that adversely affect the quality of the nation’s waters. Most states are authorized to implement the NPDES program and issue their own permits for stormwater discharges associated with industrial or construction activities. However, receiving a permit is only the beginning.

A key requirement under the Stormwater Discharge Permit is the development of and adherence to a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP or SWP3). The SWPPP is a document that outlines how a facility or a construction project will minimize stormwater pollution. Our stormwater management team has been obtaining permit coverage and drafting manageable, cost-conscious SWPPP—and even offering SWPPP training—throughout the U.S. for many years.
