EnviroScience Names New Compliance Services Practice Area Leaders

EnviroScience is excited to announce two new additions to our Compliance Services Practice Area leadership team.

Chrisie Brown, P.E., BCEE – Environmental Engineer

Chrisie Brown, P.E., BCEE

Chrisie Brown, in her new role as a Practice Area Lead for our Compliance Services Practice Area, will focus on expanding EnviroScience’s expertise in compliance services as well as developing our strategies for the future throughout the United States.   Specifically, Chrisie is focused on supporting client needs and markets that intersect with environmental engineering.

Chrisie has over 20 years of diverse experience in environmental and chemical engineering. She has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado and is pursuing her master’s degree in Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University.  She is a registered engineer in the states of TN, OH, WV, VA, AL, and KY,  and she is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) in the area of Hazardous Waste Management and Site Remediation. 

Chrisie has worked across a wide variety of industries, including pulp and paper, wood treating, fiber optics, nuclear waste treatment, and pesticide manufacturing, to solve complex chemical, environmental, and processing problems for clients. Her projects include remediation technology development, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, environmental sampling, site assessments, and environmental litigation support. She has extensive experience in process development, environmental contaminant chemistry, fate and transport, chemical processing, and remediation techniques. 

Tim Ator – Environmental Scientist

Tim Ator, in his new role as a Practice Area Lead for our Compliance Services Practice Area, will focus on assisting with operations, business development, and strengthening relations with existing and new clients. Specifically, Tim is focused on supporting client needs and markets that intersect with various sampling projects.

Tim Ator has been with EnviroScience, Inc. since 2010 and currently works as an Environmental Scientist/Project Manager within the Compliance Services group. Tim specializes in environmental sampling and provides EnviroScience with technical leadership for water, soil, and sediment sampling projects.  He has extensive experience with various aquatic surveys and biological assessments.  Tim also serves as an integral member of EnviroScience’s emergency response team, responding to numerous spills and train derailments. Tim received his B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (Environmental Science, GIS, Geography) from The University of Akron.

Tim’s work experience at EnviroScience started during the BP Deepwater Horizon Incident, collecting water and sediment samples in the Gulf. Then started working as an Environmental Inspector for pipeline projects before transitioning to more sampling and water quality role as part of the Compliance Services and Emergency Response team.  Working within the Emergency Response Division of EnviroScience, Tim has responded to numerous spills and train derailments. His responsibilities include project management; water and sediment sampling; infield chemistry readings with various instruments; long term sampling and monitoring activities; and restoration of impacted and sensitive areas.
