EnviroScience, Inc. is honored to receive the “Community Service Award” from North Coast Community Homes (NCCH).  We fully support their mission to provide safe, comfortable, and affordable housing to individuals with disabilities.  Our Corporate Responsibility Committee started a rain barrel program for the residents in Summit County to promote community gardening and cost-savings.  Our members also volunteer at their annual picnic (a great event!), supply small holiday gifts, and most of all, support the readiness of a store called “Isabella’s Closet” that is specifically for residents.  The donation-driven store provides residents with household items they need to maintain their lives in stable, safe, affordable housing.

On Tuesday, January 17, NCCH VP Dick Russ and guests talked on “The Sound of ideas” (90.3, WCPN Ideastream) in a segment addressing housing issues that residents and those with disabilities face.  The talk details how we can make it possible for residents to “age in place” through housing design, customization, and other resources to make homes more accessible.

The people at NCCH are absolutely wonderful and give 110% to the cause.  We encourage you to check out their webpage and see how you can help those struggling in your area.
