The New Lake Will Support a Large Fish Population and Provide Recreation
EnviroScience is pleased to announce that one of its newest designs has been highlighted by the Toledo Blade. In 2017 and 2018, EnviroScience had the opportunity to design a new lake for Metroparks Toledo at their Cannonball Prairie Metropark off Monclova Road. The seven-acre lake was created in a former farm field, specifically to appeal to fishing and kayaking enthusiasts. The lake was designed with an abundance of underwater structures, such as rock piles, stumps, and logs, as well as ample areas specifically suited to fish spawning. The park is anticipated to open this fall, as the lake is expected to fill with water over the fall and winter seasons. It may, however, be a few years before the lake is open for fishing due to the need for a stabilization period. Read more about this exciting project here.
