Mr. Pat Slattery graduated Magna Cum Laude from Youngstown State University in May 2016, with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.  As a student at YSU, he was named to the Dean’s List in every semester of attendance.  Before joining EnviroScience in August 2016, Mr. Slattery spent two summers working as an intern for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

As an intern in the Ohio EPA’s Division of Surface Water, Mr. Slattery reviewed detailed engineering plans for more than 100 Permit-To-Install applications, conducted numerous NPDES permit inspections, and assisted on many industrial pretreatment and storm water inspections.  He also processed applications and renewals for NPDES permits and holding tank management plans, and provided technical assistance to permit applicants when necessary.  This experience has given him a working knowledge of Ohio EPA’s permitting requirements and inspection procedures, and the skills necessary to effectively communicate those requirements and procedures to permittees and potential permittees.

Since joining EnviroScience, Pat has conducted regular storm water inspections, worked as a consultant for an Industrial Pretreatment Program, completed NPDES permitting requirements for waste water treatment plant expansion, and assisted in development of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3s).   He has also used the Filemaker Pro software suite to develop numerous mobile apps to streamline data collection in the field and increase reporting efficiency.
