Cortney Marquette has a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology with an emphasis on aquatic habitats from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. She has completed numerous scientific fish surveys using a variety of methods in freshwater, brackish, and marine environments from the Midwest to the Atlantic Ocean. She has been a staff biologist for EnviroScience, Inc. since 2002, assisting various aquatic surveys including freshwater mussels and fisheries, wetland delineations, and stormwater compliance related issues. In 2005, she became the Project Manager of the Lake Management Division and oversaw various lake studies, including biological assessments such as aquatic macrophyte, fisheries, planktonic, and benthic communities, as well as chemical analysis in sediment, nutrient overloading, and water quality analysis in numerous lakes throughout the Midwest and Canada. Additionally, Ms. Marquette developed, consulted, and supported her large clientele for nearly a decade before transitioning into her new role in Richmond, Virginia in 2015. There she is responsible for development and support of client interaction, sales, marketing, project management, and fieldwork.
