Andrew Zimmerman began working for EnviroScience in 2013. He is an Aquatic Biologist, specializing in fisheries ecology. Andrew graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S. in Biology with Marine and Aquatic Specialization. While in school Andrew gained valuable experience participating in fieldwork and internships. Upon graduating he worked for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife. Through is schooling and work experience Andrew has gained experience in fisheries surveys, water quality analysis, stream morphology, zooplankton identification, statistical analysis, and SCUBA diving. As an employee at EnviroScience, Andrew is a member or the Ecological Division. In this role he surveys; fish, macroinvertebrates, stream assessment (QHEI), water quality, and freshwater mussels. He is also a member of the Ecological Response Unit and helps with restoration projects. Andrew is certified in; 40- Hour HAZWOPER, E-Rail, FRA, MSHA, OEPA Qualified Data Collector in Chemical water Quality. As well, he is an active member of the North American Native Fisheries Association and American Fisheries Society. Andrew is a fan of most anything dealing with water and fish. He is an avid fly fisherman, fly tier, underwater videographer/photographer, as well as photographer of fish for diagnostic purposes, enjoys SCUBA diving, and snorkeling. He is an experienced aquarist, having kept coral reef tanks, freshwater planted tanks, and large freshwater aquariums at Bass Pro Shops.
